If you have never been to an exhibit of Marilyn Frasca‘s, prepare yourself to be amazed.
Childhood’s End is honored to host this widely respected and admired Olympia artist for Arts Walk, October 6th & 7th.

Marilyn Frasca‘s new exhibit, “Drawings”, is a thought provoking collection of her latest monotype & pastel paintings. Her broad spectrum of subject matter is somewhat unusual. She has a very unique and personal way of coming to visualize her imagery. She first creates a one-of-a-kind monotype print, generally using textiles and an inked plate to produce texture. After the print is finished, Frasca studies each one’s character to find a hidden, unforeseen image, pattern or emotion which guides her to pull from her imagination. Using primarily pastel or charcoal to complete the imagery, Frasca’s paintings evolve into a mythical, compassionate, spiritual, even political transformation. Marilyn’s influence from her teaching, travels & studies is apparent in her work. You may recognize exotic animals, spiritual icons, foreign & familiar landscapes or references to history & cultures. Often, the subject is simply the soft, peaceful relationship between kindred spirits, be it human or animal, which make Marilyn’s admiration and respect of all living things apparent.

Please join us for this greatly anticipated event, for an evening of art, music and conversation.  Although Arts Walk is only October 6th & 7th, Marilym Frasca’s exhibit will be up through November 12th.
