"Let It Be So" soft pastel by Barbara Noonan

Often times, the colors of our surroundings are most glorious just before the sun slips away into the horizon, often overlooked, as we busily prepare for the evening ahead. The last bit of daylight doesn’t go unnoticed in this new work from noted pastel artist, Barbara Noonan.

A lifelong nature lover, Noonan finds herself outdoors any chance she gets. Her keen observation of her natural environment and interests in everyday events and objects inspire her wide range of subject matter and technique. This collection, reflecting some of Noonan’s favorites – landscapes, bodies of water, a farm, her love of bicycling and the image of vintage bikes, and an interesting, vertical painting of glowing trees in cool tones, “Nocturn Study, ” show just how diversified she is. When Barbara isn’t in her studio or out looking for new inspiration, she is often found teaching classes on technique and Art as a business, or off to a workshop herself.

We hope you get an opportunity to view this exhibit which will be up through September 25th. If you do, we suggest you allow yourself enough time to take in the Percival Plinth Project and vote for your favorite sculpture.
