Kentucky Spring

Salad tongs in use
Chase Parrish graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in business.  While in college he purchased a small bankrupt company that produced mini-lathes primarily used for pen turning along with his father and uncle.  This new found hobby and business sparked an interest in woodworking along with an appreciation for items that are both useful and works of art.

After college his career led him to a large national manufacturing company where he quickly learned that it wasn't for him.  As a lifelong Kentucky resident and avid outdoorsman with an entrepreneurial side, Chase began searching for a project he could be passionate about.  When he stumbled across Kentucky Spring he knew it would be a good fit.

Kentucky Spring was started by Kyle Ellison in 1990 and produced handmade wooden kitchen utensils.  Kyle was ready to retire and seeking someone to take over the business with a shared desire to make the best quality items possible.  Chase and Kyle became fast friends and in December of 2014 Chase took over Kentucky Spring where each day and piece for him is a unique and new adventure.
