Torrey Dasmann
The child and grandchild of artists, painting and drawing have been a refuge since I could hold a brush.
Skipping all the years encumbered by self doubt and imposter syndrome, I arrive at the recent discovery of daily clay shaping as an exercise for grounding and dissipating anxiety.
Now six months in, I’m learning every day as I proceed into a body of work that is deeply personal and rich for me.
Little cabins, cottages, huts. They are as meaningful and laden in my life as they are in our collective imagination.
It feels wonderful to be working in a direction, and to have the privilege to be able to take the time to explore and do this healing creative work.
