“Fireweed” – woodblock print by Kristen Etmund.

February is the month to cast your vote for your favorite artist to be represented on traffic boxes in the Olympia area.

We are proud to see that two of our resident printmakers are on the ballot for this year. Kristen Etmund, who’s woodblock prints were well received in our last exhibit “Crows & Ravens” has entered “Fireweed” which is a favorite of many of her collectors. Kristen’s work demonstrates the subtle, yet necessary relationships between the region’s native flora and fauna.  “Tribute to Teachers” submitted by Mimi Williams, who is known for her cheerful linoleum block prints, is another Childhood’s End Gallery resident artist and former Olympia school teacher.

Every vote counts. Help keep The Arts in Olympia strong and our street corners more interesting!
