Come down to Percival Landing and see what great new sculptures are on display for this year’s annual Percival Plinth Project contest.

May the bet PLINTH win that is!

Last Friday kicked off the annual Percival Plinth Project. This is a community driven Arts project that puts you in control. 15 sculptures of varied design and media from local artists are chosen to compete in a month long contest, where the favorite piece will be purchased by the city of Olympia to be placed on permanent display in a prominent spot in our city. After voting, the sculptures will remain on display on their “plinths” until next summer’s contest begins. Voting may be done online, but we encourage you to stroll the boardwalk and admire them in person. The boardwalk across from us between the gallery and the Oyster House is finished, so come tale a look and cast your ballot.

Voting ends July 31st and remember – there are no bad candidates and everyone is a winner!
Be sure to stop in and view “Out of the Blue” – an exhibit featuring paintings by five Olympia members of
The Women Painters of Washington.
