Needlefelted wool and embroidered Bushtits by Kristen Etmund

Hurray for Olympia!  Whether you danced in the parade, created a masterpiece, dressed as a butterfly, added your touch with chalk, performed or simply appreciated the spirit of those who did – YOU made this Spring’s Arts Walk an amazing success.

We were fortunate to host six incredible artists and a terrific musical trio who drew in hundreds of admirers to our gallery. Thank you again to photographer and Arts Walk cover artist, Duncan Green, mixed media fiber artist Marie Hassett, painters Carla Paine & Xiaogang Zhu, mixed media needlefelter Kristen Etmund, potter Don Sprague & mixed media sculptor Deanna Kiliz. Kudos to our musicians Pat Cole, John Carleton & Steve Bartlett, you set the tone for the night.

We would like to remind you that our focus at Childhood’s End Gallery has always been to introduce the talents of our phenominal regional artists to you in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. At any given time, we feature work by dozens of regional and even internationally honored artists from the Olympia area alone, including jewelry, sculpture, woodwork, photography, glass, pottery, paintings, art prints, mixed media pieces and cards. If you were unable to make it downtown last weekend, you can still catch the exhibit through May 31st.

Thank you for supporting the Arts in Olympia!
