Artist talk with Chris Maynard and Judith SmithSunday December 3rd.

Artist talk with Chris Maynard and Judith Smith is Sunday December 3rd.

This is another fun filled holiday weekend for Downtown Olympia, with plenty to do for all ages and interests.

So many reasons to come Downtown! Harlequin Productions is kicking off their season with “The Stardust Christmas Fandango” play, full of laughs, singing and good old fashioned holiday cheer. Saturday it’s all about the kids, with the Olympia Toy Run. See Santa and lots of his helpers rumble into town with thousands of toys, being delivered two wheels at a time, to kids in our community. Stick around after the event, get your gift shopping done, grab a bite to eat and head down to Percival Landing for the Parade of Lighted Boats.

Our big event is Sunday the 3rd! We will have two accomplished artists from Olympia here to give an artist talk. Judith Smith who is currently exhibiting her bold owl paintings & sketches and Chris Maynard who designs shadowboxes using hand cut feathers. We just received more of Chris’s lovely book FEATHERS – Form & Function and calendars. We’ll even wrap the book & have it ready for gifting while you enjoy the talk, at no additional cost!
Join in on the fun – talk begins at 3pm.
