Olympia Artists Tom Anderson & Carla Louise Paine chat during Arts Walk.

Our ArtsWalk Exhibit featured “Small Works” but it was big hit!

Tom Anderson‘s mixed media assemblges are bold, full of depth and texture, the 12″ pieces are great for a small space or grouped. Kristen Etmund‘s soft wood block prints express her love and concern for coastal inhabitants of our Pacific Northwest. Picturesque regional scenery is the subject for Sheila Evans‘s glowing pastels. Marie Hassett has amazed us again with her detailed embroideries of birds. Everybody is just endeared by the sweet, little bunny portraits from Rebecca Luncan. We love the small new feather shadowboxes from Chris Maynard, but don’t miss the big ones! The beauty of every day life in the country is reflected in new oil paintings from Carla Louise Paine. Dreamy skies, fields and trees come alive with Jiji Saunders miniature encaustics. Some of our favorite subjects; country backroads, dogs, beaches & birds are among the new watercolors by Randena Walsh.

Art of course isn’t just for walls. African inspired wearable art pieces of James Taylor are fantastic & profits support child services in Ethiopia. Bright, happy wish and prayer towers from Holden McCurry & Ed Byers are perfect for a little nook or shelf. The whimsical ceramic sculptures from John & Robin Gumaelius are certain to be a conversation piece. Turned wooden bowls and fantastic kaleidoscopes from Earle McNiel are made from unlikely local woods. Any of these small works would look amazing on one of the sleek, organic tables by Gary Leake

No room? We just received Kristen Etmund’s lovely note cards with some of your favorite images – send art to someone special!  The exhibit will be up till November13th, so come check it out.
