The tugboats will be chugging into the harbor the next few days, bringing with them one of the liveliest community events of the year. This Labor Day Weekend is Harbor Days at Percival Landing!
You don’t have to be a history or industry buff, boater, race fan or even a grown up to enjoy this great event. The entertainment lineup for 2016 will include acrobats, harbor tours, a paddle board competition, Zumba dancing demos, raffles and giveaways, free books and a giant purple slide for kids. Fish Brewing Company will be introducing its new Harbor Day’s Summer Ale and the tugboats will race on Sunday.
The winding down of Summer definitely has it’s bonuses and Harbor Day’s Tugboat Festival is on the top of the list, with more to offer this year than ever before. Childhood’s End has a nice selection of art and crafts with harbor images and marine themes, including watercolors and prints from Beverly Fotheringham, if you need a gift or a nice little reminder for yourself of a lovely weekend on Olympia’s waterfront.
