We are so fortunate here at the gallery to represent so many fine American craftspeople. A craftsman is defined as someone who has perfected their craft to the point that they can reproduce their art with minimal changes from piece to piece. The fact that these incredibly skilled artists are working with wood, metal, ceramic, glass and an array of other materials and producing their pieces with such precision is truly a gift.

Our woodworkers provide us with beautiful jewelry boxes, functional tables, bowls, vases, mirrors, cooking utensils, cutting boards & clocks. The glass blowers and lamp work artists in our area are known nationally for their lustrous bowls, vases, ornaments, chimes, figurines and so much more. Metalsmiths have brought us lamps and tables, candleholders, bowls, dishes, keepsake boxes, mobiles and tableware. Ceramicists offer wide ranges of their work – from tablesettings and trinket dishes to switch plate covers & clocks. The fiber arts include fashionable hand woven scarves, hair accessories, hand sewn bags & delicately balanced mobiles. We are constantly complimented on the wide selection of unique jewelry styles offered at the gallery, many of which are designed right here in Olympia!

If you are out and about this month, take the time to discover works of true craftsmanship in the stores, markets and homes in our community. We hope you can stop in to view our latest exhibit and marvel at the work of the talented American craftspeople and their fine art and crafts we represent.
