Few things in life are more gratifying than giving to a worthy cause…..and good pie. Luckily, you can get the gratification of both at this Saturday’s Olympia Pie Fest! This growing downtown event, sponsored by the Olympia Baker’s Guild, supports the Thurston County Food Bank and Senior Nutrition Program. Local bakers donate their favorite pies, which are both auctioned off whole or sold by the slice, for $3 or 3 cans of food. Do you have a scrumptious family recipe or an aspiring young baker in the house? There are contests for three age groups if you can get your pies to the Olympia Center for judging by 10:30. So, get out the recipe book and get baking!

Piefest runs from 1:00 – 3:30 for purchasing, live auction, prizes and of course eating pie.  Get there early for the best selection!

Also, the Procession Studio is holding an open house this Friday, from 1-4 pm. If you were coming in to see the latest exhibit before it comes down, the studio is just across the street. Check it out!
