Holiday Exhibit November 20th -December 31st.

You won’t find sugar plum fairies or motion activated snowman in this holiday show – what you will find is a room full of good cheer, compliments of the five distinctly different, but equally talented local artists. This new exhibit is certain to put the happy in your holidays.

Though the subjects in the batik shadowboxes from Lisa Kattenbraker are simple, they are full of detail and depth. Her designs are heartwarming and endearing, reminding us of the beauty of uncomplicated life filled with love and joy. You will find it hard to believe the intricately detailed pieces are made using such a difficult process of wax on cotton.

If you were in last November, you surely remember the fantastic polymer clay sculptures by Deanna Killiz. Your favorite childhood fables come to life with Deanna’s new work – The Beauty and the Beast, Hansel & Gretel, The Mad Hatter and even Father Christmas add a magical quality to this show.

We have displayed paintings from Alexis St. John for several years now and are excited to feature her in this exhibit. The familiar and curiously imaginative  creatures of St. Johns paintings have always brought smiles to our customers faces. Along with wall pieces, we will be showing some of the quirky & whimsical ceramic inspirations behind her characters.

Not your typical landscapes, the larger than life acrylics by Don Tiller are full of movement and color. Rolling hills, glowing harbor scenes and even a lively cityscape, will remind us why we choose to live in such a beautiful, diverse region.

New to the gallery are turned wooded vessels from Bob Espen. Careful observation of the grain and character of the wood Bob chooses is obvious in this extensive collection of bowls, urns and oil lamps.  A welcomed edition to the show.

Be sure to save the date! Sunday November 29th is the big kickoff to the holiday season. Join Downtown businesses for a fun filled day of cheer, including a parade, caroling, the lighting of the Christmas tree at Sylvester Park and of course Santa. It’s Downtown for the Holidays!
