Miniature Boxed Paintings by Mary McCann $60

It’s true, what they say, good things do come in small packages!

Many local art lovers are familiar with, and have been following the works of Olympia’s Mary McCann for years now. We have been graced by her gorgeous, color saturated oil paintings hanging on the gallery walls – you may recall the beautiful “Self Portrait” series of lone horses on glowing plains from our April show last year.

As delightful as Mary’s oils are for a wall, these sweet mini landscapes are just as enjoyable for a table top, shelf or display case. Nestled into little wooden keepsake boxes, there are two diminutive works of art, leave them in the box for a more dimensional feeling or hang them up in a small space.

Childhood’s End has several of McCann’s wall pieces on exhibit currently. Mary also has work on display at the Southwest Washington Juried Exhibition at SPSCC in the Kenneth J. Minaret Center Gallery, and was honored by receiving the Purchaser Award. She is joined there by several current and former resident artists of Childhood’s End including Tom Anderson, Shelley Carr, Susan Christian and Ron Hinton exhibiting now through Aug. 26th.
