Ceramic faces by Jacquline Hurlbert $50

These small, expressive wall sculptures from Oregon artist, Jacquline Hurlbert, are glimpses into the many curiosities and interests we all have within our own personalities. Each of Hurlbert’s faces have similar shapes, yet each one is distinctly different from the next, revealing it’s own little secret.

Hats, birds, flowers, masks. Soft expressions adorned or patterned with color and embellishments. Hurlbert has said that she isn’t the same person today as she was yesterday…and yet she is. Nobody is, and that is what her faces represent – the permanent, evolving or changing perspectives of our lives. What is obvious and what lays hidden within our souls.

Most of the faces are less than 5″ tall, making them easy to display in a small area where you need to make a bold statement, or run a series of them precisely in rows or scatter spontaneously. Jacquline also makes hearts in the same hues and textures with similar, complimenting themes that are lovely alone or grouped with the faces.
