Known best for his contemporary abstract impressionism in the media of pastel, watercolor and gouache, Olympia artist Bill McEnroe is still keeping us guessing. Inspiration for his latest pieces is drawn from his interest in pictures he recently saw of frescos in old Italian churches damaged during WWII. Having little money for restoration after the war, conservators simply scraped and patched the ruined parts with white plaster. Bill’s latest work reflects the look and feeling of the plastered frescos with purpose and deliberately chosen, muted tones finished with India ink applied with broken twigs.

If you think you are familiar with Bill McEnroe’s technique, you may be surprised by this exhibit. We encourage you to stop in and see this latest work.  Click here http://www.childhoods-end-gallery.com/mcenroe96.html to view more images from Bill McEnroe.
